Meet Megan Duffy
Hi I'm Megan, the Owner and Lead Designer at megan duffy interiors. I am a professionally trained interior designer specializing in custom residential interior design. My design philosophy is rooted in a harmonious blend of timeless elegance and contemporary craftsmanship. I believe in creating spaces that reflect individuality, functionality, and aesthetics. Through meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to collaborative ideation, and a passion for simplicity, I craft designs that stand the test of time, enriching lives and spaces with enduring beauty.
Originally a Torontonian, I made the journey to beautiful British Columbia in 2020 for the ultimate university experience. As a proud dual citizen of both Canada and the USA, I am fortunate to have the flexibility to explore professional opportunities in both regions.
My passion lies at the corner of technology and interior design, where I have developed a love for space planning, rendering, and mastering the complexities of AutoCAD and SketchUp. Crafting immersive 3D views has become second nature, allowing me to convey my design concepts with clarity and precision, enhancing the client experience.
Academically, I've maintained a GPA of 4.0 throughout my four years at VIU, consistently earning a spot on the Dean's list. With a commitment to excellence, I strive to continue this quality work into all of my designs, fuelled by a genuine passion for people and creating beautiful spaces.
On the court, I am a former student-athlete on the Women's Volleyball Team at VIU, where I proudly took on the captain's role for two years. My dedication and leadership haven't gone unnoticed, as evidenced by my accolades, including the Academic Excellence Award, the Unsung Hero Award for my impactful leadership, and the Top Middle Blocker recognition in the PACWest conference. Beyond the awards, being part of this extraordinary team has honed my time-management and social skills, teaching me to thrive under pressure in a collaborative and diverse environment.
After working as an in-house interior designer for a construction company, I have unique insights into how the construction process runs and operates. This gives me an edge to designing beautiful spaces the first time, with a keen eye for spying problems before they arise.
